Company history

Chameleon Graphics Limited was created in 2000 by Andrew Chaplin - after having successfully completed a BA (Hons) degree in Visual Communication Design at Middlesex University

With a drive to go it alone in the graphics industry and motivation to make a true success of his design skills, Andrew launched Chameleon as the realization of a life-long held dream

Andrew is currently Creative Director at Chameleon and is your first port of call should you wish to enquire about the company in any way

Since then, the company has not looked back and continues to grow, change with the times and evolve into an ideas factory - providing local, national and international businesses and other organisations with quality design pieces of graphic artwork at competitive rates

Chameleon is situated just outside London in the small village of Great Amwell, in the county of Hertfordshire. Amwell is a lovely location and its tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of the Big City makes it an ideal spot for creative thinking to really take shape and flourish. Having said that, when design projects are actually assigned from London, it is only a 40 minute hop on the train where we will be happy to meet our clients at any necessary prearranged meetings

Located in Amwell, even got a local nature reserve, complete with many forms of wildlife - making it an ideal place for conceptualization and reflection. It is our firm belief that in order for concepts to develop to their full potential, working in the right environment to stimulate the growth of ideas is absolutely essential

As Head Honcho at Chameleon, Andrew is often asked about his graphic design background by clients wishing to find more about the company

0 - 1996 - Interest in art & design at school

1996 - Diploma in Art Foundation Studies @ Hertford Regional College

1997 - !st Year of Diploma of Higher Education in Visual Communication Design (Graphic Design) @ Hertford Regional College

1998 - 2ndYear of Diploma of Higher Education in Visual Communication Design (Graphic Design) @ Hertford Regional College

1998 - Won national Student D&AD Commendation Award for corporate identity project - Aqualink (see Folio)

1999 - Top up 3rd year, BA (Hons) Degree in Visual Communication Design (Graphic Design) @ Middlesex University

1999 - Won second prize in the national Independent on Sunday Magazine Student Photography Awards (see Folio)

2000 - Set up Chameleon Graphics Ltd

Today - Still going strong !
